Meet Rich Leeson, Western Zone Technical Manager at BUNN

In 1985 I was working in the Automotive Industry, a lady in the office where I worked was married to the Plant Manager at BUNN California. One day he offered me a job, traveling around the Western US in a wood sided station wagon fixing commercial coffee brewers, I was way too cool to cruise in a wood sided wagon, so I turned him down. About a month later he came back and offered me a job as the Production Manager for the paper coffee filter plant, which I took. As a young guy I figured I would do this for a couple years and then find something else.

Here I am, 35 years later still employed by BUNN. Over the years I migrated from manufacturing, into service, then sales and now the reside as the Western Zone Technical Manager.

Recently someone asked me why I have stayed in the industry so long, and my answer came easy. I enjoy the people, the excitement, and continued evolution of this industry. Each day brings something new. I enjoy learning, teaching and solving problems so this is where I fit, and I hope to continue for a while yet.
